System Dynamics user day
June 6th 2024, At In Summa
Bringing together the communities of Adams, Romax and Elements
The user bases of Hexagon’s System Dynamics products have grown over the last couple of years. Integrations with other products are also growing.
So we thought it was due for a System Dynamics Day. To align on what’s new and what’s upcoming with experts. To get inspired by other users presenting their applications. To look into and discuss the future together.
Join us for a full day dedicated to
Romax, Adams, and Elements.
- Elements: Intuitive multi-physics system integration and simulation for design and engineering of next-generation systems.
- Romax: Complete simulation range provides specialized tools for electromechanical simulation and multiphysics design optimization for drivelines.
- Adams: Adams is the golden standard multibody dynamics simulation tool to model moving part dynamics and the effects of forces on mechanical systems.
Program
As we near the date, more sessions will be added to the program. You can expect in any case various presentations: users presenting their cases and applications, development presenting the latest and upcoming features, as well as integrations between products and platforms.
We will continuously update the page!
Approved Sessions:
- Integrated simulation suite for ePowertrian and gearbox applications for Automotive, Wind Energy and Aerospace.
Presentor: Rhys Jones | Product in focus: Romax
Rhys Jones is Engineering Manager – EMEA (System Dynamics) at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. He will give an introduction to Romax, what problems it solves, USP, case studies and future capability roadmap. Axial flux motor: technology development and system optimization
Presentor: Leonardo Ferretti | Product in focus: Romax
Leonardo Ferretti is simulation team lead at Traxial and will tell more about motor optimization and NVH behavior using Romax. His presentation will be followed up by a demonstration of Rhys Jones: Application of Electric Machine Excitations within Romax and the Upcoming JMAG Interface.
Transmission error indicating gear mesh misalignment
Presentor: Nico de Bie | Product in focus: Romax
Nico de Bie is Gear Technology Engineer at ZF Wind. Gear transmission error (TE) is a key factor in gear vibration and gearbox noise. This presentation shows that TE can diagnose gear mesh misalignment in a parallel gear stage, with success depending on the simulation model’s reliability and measurement accuracy. His presentation will be followed up by a demonstration of Rhys Jones: Advanced Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis in Romax.
- Multibody Dynamics solution for product performance validation and virtual sign-off.
Presentor: Alexis Del Rio | Product in focus: AdamsAlexis Del Rio is Senior Technical Consultant at Hexagon and will; give us an introduction to Adams, how it solves multi body dynamics problems in ever more complex systems, ADAMS RT, ADAMS modeler updates, case studies and future capability roadmap.
- Multi-physics system integration and simulation for performance evaluation and concept feasibility in a 1D environment.
Presentor: Pranay Navale | Product in focus: ElementsPranay Navale works as a 1D Systems Design and Application Engineer at Hexagon. He will give an introduction to Elements how it simulates physical interactions of subsystems, case studies and future capability roadmap.
