Dynamic Analysis with MSC Nastran

About this training

Description

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to linear dynamic analysis using MSC Nastran. Participants will learn the fundamental concepts of structural dynamics and how to apply them to real-world engineering problems, including vibration analysis, transient response, and frequency response simulations. The course covers the complete workflow for dynamic analysis, from model preparation and mass representation to solution setup and result interpretation.

Through course notes and practical examples, participants will gain experience with normal modes analysis, rigid body modes, damping definition, and linear dynamic response methods. The course also focuses on best practices for preparing dynamic models, performing model checks, selecting appropriate solution sequences, and interpreting dynamic analysis results. The course is complemented by MSC Apex and Patran as the main pre-and-post processor.
