Performing multi-body dynamic (MBD) analysis using MSC Adams

About this training

This training course provides a comprehensive introduction to Multi-body dynamic (MBD) simulations using MSC ADAMS. Participants will learn the fundamentals of MBD including the fundamental theory behind MBD, solver approach and solving MBD models using MSC ADAMS. Hereby they gain hands-on experience with the complete simulation workflow, including importing and preparing CAD geometry, defining joints and forces, starting first simulations meshes, configuring solver settings, and post-processing simulation results.
The course also covers MBD modelling best practices, including theory, the creation of efficient MBD models, exploring solver capabilities, scripting utilization of flexible bodies in rigid-body dynamic simulations and initial insight into DoE generation using ADAMS.

Topics covered

  • Virtual prototyping process for Multi-Body Dynamic simulations
  • ADAMS modelling approach
  • Model building (Creation of Geometries, Parts, Joints, Motions, Forces)
  • Adams Solver exploration
  • Post processing using Adams Post
  • Efficient MBD modelling approach

What you will learn

  • Fundamentals of Multi-body Dynamic analysis
